Chris Bio
Chris is a musical artist from North Little Rock, Arkansas. Chris started playing violin at age 6 and was composing his first songs at 13, using a video game console. In his teens, he was a prodigy blues guitarist. He then fronted a local cabaret punk rock project for nearly a decade, playing the biggest stages in his home state and the surrounding areas. In this time, he honed his skills in graphic design, videography, and production. In 2017 he founded Monsterboy, which later changed to Monsterboy Lives with the addition of his wife Veronica joining him on stage. In Monsterboy Lives, he is able to explore all of the genres that have influenced him over the years, combining tribal drums with trip-hop beats, electric guitars, and saxophones.
Chris served on the committee for Think Big Little Rock, where he was key in the development of an arts district in the heart of the city. He is a Sally Williams Education Grant recipient, a three-time Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase Semifinalist, and an Artist Inc. Fellow. Chris recently wrote his first soundscape for Arts & Letters, a podcast on KUAR (an NPR member station), and is negotiating placements of more of his work in television and film.
